UET, a carbon-neutral leader in the energy sector, is a repeat nominee and finalist in the “Oscars of the Energy Industry
Denver (September 10, 2023) – United Energy Trading (UET), a pioneer in energy and sustainability markets, has been selected as a finalist for the 25th annual Platts Global Energy Awards Energy Transition – Downstream and Chemicals category. The award recognizes companies that have taken difficult challenges and transformed them into unique and innovative opportunities to increase sustainability within the sector. UET is proud to have the proactive sustainability work it does acknowledged by the “Oscars of the Energy Industry,” as the awards are known.
United Energy Trading has made leaps and bounds since breaking into the renewable energy space in 2014, with its corporate operations becoming 100% carbon neutral in 2021. Following its own success reducing its carbon footprint, the company created a full suite of reliable renewable energy marketing and logistics offerings for its clients. From helping customers reduce their carbon footprints, improve ESG scores, and monetize carbon sequestration, UET’s comprehensive and easily adaptable “bundled” model is helping drive the clean energy movement while supplying the world’s current energy needs.
“We have wasted no time in finding the most innovative and impactful solutions to the challenges that we face in protecting our planet while providing the energy the world demands. We fully believe that a future of sustainable energy supply is achievable,“ said UET President Tom Smith. “To become a finalist for such a prestigious award shows the importance of our work.”
“We are particularly pleased not only to announce this year’s finalists for their innovative contributions to the world’s energy future, but to invite executives from this select group to the inaugural Excellence in Energy Conference, where attending executives will engage in critical debate on important industry issues, showcase innovation, spotlight investment trends, and exchange ideas on opportunities that are redefining possibilities in the global energy transition,” said Murray Fisher, Awards Program Director, S&P Global Commodity Insights.
In addition to the Energy Transition – Downstream and Chemicals category, energy companies have been selected as finalists for the 25th Annual Platts Global Energy Awards in 19 categories, including: Executive of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, and Rising Star.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on December 7 in-person in New York.
